Great visit to the University of North Carolina Charlotte last week to speak with junior and senior engineering students on Sustainability, Life Cycle Analysis, and Circular Economy. I was really impressed by the students and the University is just a beautiful place.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Roger Tipton has accepted a position of Materials Engineering Fellow at Newell Brands located in Charlotte North Carolina. This is an exciting position where Dr. Tipton will be working on biobased and biodegradable materials.
Roger Tipton’s article, How I navigated through my midlife PhD, has been accepted by Nature. The article will appear in the Careers section of Nature and will be published in the January 14 edition. Hopefully my experience can help others in their pursuit of a career in science no matter how old they are.
