Computer modeling gives us another powerful tool to understand biomechanics of the Musculoskeletal system. Sometimes direct measurements of segment parameters are not practical or even feasible. A good computer model also provides tools that estimates the stresses and pressure distribution of knee joint tissues during sports or daily activities.
In our search to improve surgical techniques or implants, we often have needs that can not be met by the existing tools. We sometimes develop custom-made software and models to further our research.
