Welcome to the AIDME (AI for Design and Manufacturing Excellence) lab. My research primarily involves implementing a variety of computational frameworks and representations to understand and aid engineering design and manufacturing in the digital age. I believe that cross disciplinary research drives creativity; my own background is testament to that. I look forward to new collaborations with experts in many fields including computer science, economics, chemistry, and biology.
I am always on the look out to work with driven and curious students. You will have the opportunity to use AI/ML and computational geometry in solving fundamental challenges related to conversational gamified and scalable design, the circular economy, and collaborative fabrication of pseudo-composites.
You should have a knack for programming, but above all, I value critical thinking, creativity, and persistence. If you like jigsaw puzzles and LEGOs, you will enjoy our lab!
