Md Shah Nawaz Arafin
First Year Ph.D. Student (2024 – Present)
He obtained his B.Sc. from the prestigious Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where his research focused on computational fluid mechanics (CFD), solid mechanics, and instrumentation.
When he’s not in the lab, Arafin enjoys hitting the open road for scenic adventures. He’s also a big fan of the beautiful game – soccer!

Mehul Jammannagari
Sophomore Student
Mehul is an undergraduate biology student at the University of North Carolina, pursuing a pre-med track. He is enthusiastic about sustainable bio-based materials as it seamlessly integrates his biology background with engineering and sustainability principles.
In his free time outside the lab, Mehul enjoys playing volleyball, listening to music, and going for walks.

Madhava Aditya Bharadwaj Pinapati
Junior Student
Aditya is an undergraduate mechanical engineering student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, passionate about applying engineering principles to innovative problem-solving. With a keen interest in biocomposite materials, Aditya aims to explore their potential for sustainable and high-performance engineering solutions
Outside the classroom, he is an avid motorsports enthusiast, following F1, MotoGP, and GT Racing. In his free time, Aditya enjoys playing badminton and riding bikes.
