Dr. Roger Tipton Joins the Board of Directors at the Polymer Center of Excellence

We are excited to announce that Dr. Tipton has been appointed to the board of directors at the Polymer Center of Excellence. This is a great honor for me, and I am looking forward to serving in this role. The Polymer Center of Excellence is a world-renowned organization that is dedicated to advancing the science and technology of polymers. I have been a member of the Polymer Center for many years, and I have always been impressed by the organization’s commitment to excellence. I am excited to join the board of directors at the Polymer Center, and I look forward to working with the other members of the board to continue to advance the mission of the organization. I believe that the Polymer Center is an important resource for the polymer community, and I am committed to helping the organization to continue to grow and thrive.

In his role as a board member, he will be working to:

  • Advocate for the Polymer Center and its mission
  • Help to ensure that the Polymer Center has the resources it needs to succeed
  • Represent the Polymer Center to the broader polymer community

I am confident that I can make a significant contribution to the Polymer Center, and I am excited to get started in this new role. I would like to thank the board of directors for their confidence in me, and I look forward to working with them to make the Polymer Center an even more successful organization.

About Dr. Roger Tipton

Dr. Roger Tipton is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a leading expert in the field of polymer science and engineering. Dr. Tipton is also a director at the Sustainable Seas Institute.  

Dr. Tipton’s research interests include:

  • Polymer processing
  • Polymer characterization
  • Polymer recycling
  • Polymer composites
