Students from Dr. Alam’s AI for Biomedical Application course worked on some cool application of AI algorithms translatable to medical applications.
Team Shockwalk developed a deep learning model, that can learn gait patterns from two legs, and given one leg EMG input, it can predict the EMG for other leg. And the team went beyond the model and implemented it using TENS units. In this demo, the output EMG is making the student’s right leg move. This type of work has huge impact in rehabilitation. Kudos to the team!
