SPC and Metrology: MEGR 3282
Last Taught: Fall 2018
Next teaching: Spring 2019
This is one of my favorite courses to teach, because I believe that the topics that I cover are very important to new engineers as they enter industry. Of course, we have to cover probability and statistics, since these topics are the basis for what follows. But understanding how and why control charts work, how hypothesis testing can be used to make decisions, the concept of uncertainty, as well as Gage R&R studies and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) are what give a new engineer an advantage.
