Dynamics I: MEGR3121
Last Taught: Fall 2018
Next teaching: TBD
This is a fun course to teach, but difficult for many students. I believe that this is because it is one of the first times that you need to apply more advanced mathematics to actual problems of force and motion. The math isn’t that hard, and the underlying concepts come straight from physics.
The best way to do well in the course is to solve lots of problems. Do the homework, and do extra problems. If you come across a problem that is difficult for you, try to identify what it is that’s hard – is it setting up the problem, or is it understanding how different principles work together? Understanding why the problem is hard will help you study to improve, and it won’t be so hard the next time.
