Consulting and Expert Investigation
The Energy Systems Integration Group (ESIG) provides independent technical consulting and expert witness services focused on the safety, reliability, performance, design, permitting, deployment, operation, and lifecycle evaluation of advanced energy systems and infrastructure. Led by Dr. John Hall, ESIG supports law firms, government agencies, utilities, developers, manufacturers, insurers, investors, and infrastructure owners by applying advanced tools such as AI and machine learning, data analytics, digital-twin and simulation modeling, standards-based engineering analysis, forensic engineering, and experimental testing to rigorously evaluate and validate technical findings.
ESIG supports litigation, arbitration, and insurance claims involving renewable energy through expert reports, depositions, and trial testimony, with expertise spanning turbine design, failure analysis, safety incidents, performance disputes, warranty and contract claims, insurance loss evaluation, and intellectual property matters. The group also provides wind energy siting and permitting support, including ordinance development, setback and noise analysis, zoning testimony, and environmental and community impact review. Additional services include government and regulatory advisory, procurement and fraud investigations, technical due diligence and independent engineering for investors and lenders, and grid integration and infrastructure planning. ESIG is known for objective analysis, cross-sector experience, and the ability to clearly communicate complex engineering for high-stakes decisions and disputes.
