{"id":87,"date":"2011-05-26T16:32:36","date_gmt":"2011-05-26T20:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coefs.charlotte.edu\/hzhang3\/?page_id=87"},"modified":"2026-03-10T16:35:41","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T20:35:41","slug":"policy-and-rate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/coefs.charlotte.edu\/hzhang3\/policy-and-rate\/","title":{"rendered":"Policies and Rates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><strong>Lab Policies<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All users are required to be trained and evaluated by the SEM Lab scientist before they can get access to any SEM lab facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for training, new users must register their user accounts at <a href=\"http:\/\/fom.uncc.edu\/fom\/welcome\">Facility Online Manager (FOM) website<\/a> and submit their applications through FOM. FOM is also used to reserve and log on\/off to the instruments. For FOM instructions, please check <a href=\"..\/files\/2011\/05\/FOM_User_Manual.pdf\">FOM User Manual<\/a>. (<strong>Please note: the FOM server currently can only be accessed from inside of UNC Charlotte<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants must fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/coefs.charlotte.edu\/hzhang3\/files\/2011\/05\/SEM-Lab-Application-Form.pdf\">SEM Lab User Application Form<\/a> with the signatures from the applicants and their advisers. The application form should be submitted to the SEM Lab scientist on the training day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants should print out the manuals and read them carefully before the training.
