Welcome to THinC Lab!
THinC Lab is based in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Our group is also part of the Motorsports Research Group in UNC Charlotte If you are interested in research in our lab, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with a short blurb about yourself.
What we do:
The research at The Human-Machine interaction and Control (THinC) Lab is focused on:
(1) Developing control algorithms for partially to fully automated systems
(2) Developing human-machine interfaces.
(3) Understanding the human user in a shared control framework.
Our research studies span the broad areas of developing control and optimization algorithms with applications in fully automated systems as well as semi-automated or shared control systems, wherein the command inputs of human control and automated controllers are mixed.
